Overview: 
In the framework of the African Diaspora Youth Network in Europe, Migrafrica and African Diaspora platform in Germany were organizing a training seminar for female African Diaspora youth on social inclusion. The main aim of this youth project was to develop entrepreneurship skills of young migrant women with African background living in Germany as a way to increase their opportunities, social participation and inclusion. The project also aimed to strengthen the African Diaspora youth network in Germany.

The program included understanding the realities of the young women of the African Diaspora in Germany as well as analysing the opportunities and challenges that exist for African migrant youth in Germany. Furthermore, participants will train themselves in creative thinking, project management, fundraising and marketing. The seminar concluded with the establishment of an online resource bank for social entrepreneurs to share knowledge and resources among peers and forge lasting friendships, partnerships and build networks.

Objectives:  
1. Strengthen the network of the African Diaspora youth in Germany
2. Promote social entrepreneurship spirit among the African Diaspora young women in a way to increase their social participation and inclusion.
3. To design and establish a permanent online resource mobilization and capacity building tool

Participation:  
We were looking for motivated and engaged young female participants between the age of 18 to 35, who are interested in the topic and wanted to strengthen the African Diaspora youth network in Germany and beyond.

When and where:  
The seminar took place in Bonn from 26th to 29th May 2016

Costs:
Travel and accommodation were covered by Migrafrica and African Diaspora in cooperation with European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
